The baking disaster

My easy vegan cookie recipe was an unmitigated disaster. I followed the recipe EXACTLY.  I creamed the soy nut butter and the sugar forever and it got creamy and big.  I zested, I measured with the precision of a chemist.  I wound up with dough that never became dough, it was flavored flour.  I couldn’t get the not dough to even form a ball to make a cookie.  The recipe said to refrigerate the dough after you make a log with it.  I refrigerated my flavored flour that I pushed into a heap.  Two hours later I baked one small ball of the flour and it did not even make a cookie.  It made crumbs.  The best was the glee Aaron had when we added water to the dough and he played with it in the sink like it was playdough.

I told you all I am really not a baker who can use eggs and dairy but vegan baking bites me in the ass every time.  Luckily, I have friends on facebook who offered up suggestions.  I am not sure what I am going to do but I guess I am baking or something tomorrow.
