I did my best to be all about the fun on spring break for the boys. We have been very busy and every night they passed out exhausted and happy. Today after a morning play date, I made the annoucement. Boys we need to watch a movie this afternoon because Mom needs to work tonight and she needs to nap. They happily watched a movie.

We watched a dumb movie called, Hop. Halfway through the movie I half woke up to Aaron building me an intricate castle out of the bigger lego blocks. As he built he hummed a song from the movie under his breath, over and over. I want Candy, dah dah dah dah, I want Candy. I didn’t have the heart to ask him to stop. I adored that song as a teenager.

When I woke up I made sure to put it on the computer and we danced a bit before I went to work.

Mom, he declared, the original was even better than the song in the movie.

That’s my boy.
