Folks it has been a long day. For some reason the special ed teacher is piling on the homework, on top of the piles of homework we do every weekend already, and the studying we need to do so that Ryan keeps up. This week we have done two to three hours of homework nightly on top of the ten to twelve hours of homework we do every weekend. The kid is in second grade for crying out loud. This school year can’t be over soon enough.
Now to the fun stuff
We finally released the cast of Listen to Your Mother Philly.
The Listen To Your Mother Show, Philadelphia Production will feature live readings by local writers on the beauty, the beast, and the barely-rested of motherhood, in celebration of Mother’s Day. Born of the creative work of mothers who publish on-line, each production is directed, produced, and performed by local communities, for local communities, with 10% of ticket proceeds benefitting a local non-profit cause. Beginning with one show in Madison, Wisconsin in 2010, five different cities hosted LTYM shows in 2011 and a national Mother’s Day movement was born, and this year ten cities will have LTYM performances.

(LTYM) to direct and produce a Philadelphia performance of the acclaimed Mother’s Day series of live readings. Cecily and Dresden were selected based on their online platforms, creative talent, community involvement, and their social media appeal and expertise. Philadelphia was one of only 10 locations selected this year from a pool of interested cities for 2012. Cecily and Dresden have added Jo-Ann Rogan to the production team as co-producer.

I have to say I am pretty damm nervous. This is my first time reading in front of people. It would be so much easier if I could scream at them in key with loud music blaring but alas it is me, a mike, and my words.
