This morning I received an email from one of my oldest and closest friends, Cecily.  She was invited to the 1st Annual National ADHD Youth Leadership Summit which is being held in my town!   The organization holding the event is ADHD Aware.  I first became acquainted with ADHD Aware on the internet a few months ago.  I thought it was interesting the person who diagnosed Ryan was on the board for the organization.  I agreed with their mission statement when I read it.  It lacked the medicine culture that so turns me off to CHADD and instead focuses on empowering those with ADHD and the people who interact with them.

We had a few emails back and forth and she stepped up and said to the organization that I would be interested in attending.  So, guess which blogger and her son are going to a very cool conference for ADHD kids and their parents. Yep…

I can’t wait.
