We hang at the pool quite a bit. We are automatically here from 8:30 am till noon. We usually go home and I feed the starving mass of two, we go to Ryan’s therapies, and some nights we return to play and swim the evening swim practice. While we are here the kids eat pretty much every fifteen minutes.
Today while I was at the pool I got a phone call from the car dealership to find out that to fix my car would cost $6,ooo, more than the car is worth, about five minutes later I got an email that was hard to read, about five minutes after that I got an email discussing a project I am working on. Not all of this is bad but it is stressful.
Instead of stressed I arranged for a sitter Saturday so we can go look at cars. I answered the uncomfortable email, and the work email. I then played a rousing game of Uno with Aaron, swam a little, and got the boys off to swim practice. I never got stressed. I just let it all slide off like sunscreen in the water on a hot day.
Summer is never long enough.
