I’m Happy

I’m happy.  Got a good life.  No complaints.  Get out of my face!!!   Me from the Album Vicious Cycle 1998.

Mondays are not supposed to be so grand. It was a simple easy day.

This morning we got to sleep in till the kids got up because the boys were not due at the pool till 10 am since swim practice is in the evening this week for “A” champs.  They went to swim lessons and tennis lessons.  I worked and wrote a post about the drink recipe I made up for the TV show, “Mad Men”.  When I work from the pool the Mom’s pass me by like I am a crazy internet addict, but I could care less because as my kids play tennis and swim I am making a living.

We then arrived home and had lunch.  Ryan went up to take a shower alone and it got a little hairy when water was coming through the ceiling vent for the fan in the 2nd floor bathroom.  Crisis was averted and although I have about 900 towels to wash the ceiling was not too wet.

The off to Occupational Therapy. Aaron and I know the best spots in CHOP to chill and I needed to get the final version of my post out and he played with my Ipad. I got my final product out and Aaron and I went shopping at the “stores at CHOP”.  Then off to get Ryan.  I have no idea what was up at CHOP today but the parking garage was 90% fuller than normal with people from other states.  I personally saw a plate from Illinois, Alaska, Tennesee, and North Carolina just looking for parking.  The crowds there had Ryan set off.

Then we finished OT and we headed off to the Please Touch which is on the way home.  Since we have a membership I didn’t fear we only had an hour and a half to play. I noticed a huge difference in Ryan.  Gone was the trying to be cool, I am too old kid from the school year.  Bring on the kid who was so happy to play in the empty museum and led the goodbye parade.

Off we went home.  Since we arrived home the boys have played with different toys and after about an hour did they resort to TV but hey it is their first TV of the day.  They are coming in and out and helping me cook here and there. Pinch me, this summer is more amazing than I could have imagined and it is only Monday.
