Happy to no longer work Saturday nights.

Happy to have spent some time as a family today doing normal stuff like cleaning, going to the grocery store, and taking my car to the dealership for it’s included Xzilion coating and free detailing. It needed it already.  Damm kids eating in car. Heck, they still make me happy.

Happy that Ryan has not had a meltdown today and his anxiety seems less than it’s been. He actually went upstairs alone!

Happy to be watching my kids play in the driveway with the neighbors while my husband works in the garage on his motorcycle. The kids are running about as big fat raindrops fall.

Happy that my sister seems to be doing pretty well for someone whose digestive track decided to stop working and has a good shot at coming out of the hospital on Monday or Tuesday. It is weird to talk to her in the hospital. In 2009 when she was in the hospital and was finally well enough to sit up, she was on a ventilator and could not talk, although she could boss me around like a big sister does via note better than anyone ever could. She seemed almost chipper on the phone which was reassuring.

Happy that my husband and his brothers are all going on a motorcycle ride together in the morning.

Happy to be meeting friends at the pool tomorrow.

Happy that I still have a month not to think about the kids returning to school.

Happy we are actually considering using my sisters beach house in September over the time off school for the Jewish holidays. We would not have attempted to stay overnight elsewhere last year or any year prior.  We are not paying for the house so if the stay does not go well we can come home, no harm done, but for the first time we think we have a shot at a vacation maybe being successful. Cross fingers!!

Wishing this summer will never end.
