I am a bit of a weather nerd.  I follow the NOAA weather, the local news weather that I think to be the best, and the K-Mart of weather The Weather Channel.   So yeah sometimes I am more guilty of following the weather than the news.  I remember Hurricane Katrina too well.  It happen not long after Aaron was born.  I remember watching news in the middle of the night while nursing the baby and after a while I had to stop watching because I would be sobbing half the day because of postpartum hormones.  I followed the stories after a while the whole thing was a complete tragedy.

This time I have been following the storm for weeks hoping it would miss land. It didn’t and poor New Orleans got hit again..  I check in a few times a day hoping the storm has passed and people made the choice to get out of the way.  I can’t stop thinking about how horrible it will be for those who lost everything in Katrina  to loose it all again.  My heart is with everyone in the Gulf Coast States.
