1. I am not a shopper. I am the anti shopper. I am a person who values experiences over things. If it is my birthday you never have to buy me anything just take me out for dinner and have an interesting conversation with me and I’m very happy. Stores, shopping, all that is stuff is just never my thing. I have discovered my husband more and more with each passing year a shopper. He has dashed out for some all important thing for this vacation about ten times now. I just sent him off with the kids on scooters on another of his wild goose chase for the thing he NEEDS. I stayed behind to soak in the gulls, the quiet beach house, and sip on Limeaid mixed with seltzer.
2. My kids can move all day. Yesterday Ryan was out in the rough surf for about four to five hours, with husband and I taking turns being out there with him. Aaron got spooked early on when the surf was so rough it stole his bathing suit. We wrapped him in a towel and I walked a block to get him his suit but he stuck close to us which I was happy about. After all that beach they ate and we went on a scooter adventure. The boys passed out after that. Ryan was bright eyed and awake at 6:30am. Aaron slept till 9am. We have another day like this planned. I love when kids go to bed happy and tired.
3. Ryan got really motivated and did a little homework yesterday morning then breezed through it after a day in the surf. He is ready for school Wednesday. I could be here the rest of the week easily never thinking about school again!
