I am not sure how people who stay close to home most of the time do it. I am not a stay in the house person I am run a run around town type. In our family I am the person who runs errands while my very happy to be in the house husband straightens up. The last nice day, forgive me the days are running together, I dropped off my car at the dealership for them to FINALLY fix it. I then rode my bike from the neighborhood of the airport to my house near Manayunk that day, which is a ride of about fifteen miles. The next day I hiked alone before the misty rain descended upon us. Today I was waiting because we are switching internet providers and the new provider never showed. Suffice to say I have been in the house too much.
When I am in the house too much, especially alone, I get antsy and unhappy. No different than a dog howling when the owners leave.
Thankfully I am going to work tonight, a whole day early.

It’s a learned skill. Yet each time I think I’ve mastered it, I find I need to work on it even more.
