Ryan had an allergic reaction to Adderall. He became very red in the face again and developed hives that looked like mosquito bites all over his chest which were very itchy. Then came the euphoria. WOW. He reminded me of a rave kid on ecstasy. We went to the swim meet and he followed me around telling me how much he loves me, how much he loves our family, and he promised every kid lined up next to him at the swim meet that he was going to buy them Ipads for their birthday because he liked each and every one of them so much. He disqualified in breast stroke but had a great long race in the 100 meter freestyle shaving off 18 seconds from his best time. He could care less about anything except loving everything and everyone, even the kid who he punched two summers ago which almost got us thrown out of the summer swim club.
Adderall made Ryan the one man party bus. He was itchy but who cared he loved the world.
What went up must come down. He is past the worse of the coming down although at first he was screaming and yelling at Aaron and I about just how unfair we are to him. Now he is cuddly and wanting love because he says it is just so sad. He told me he did not want to take this drug again because in his words he felt REALLY funny.
This was his reaction on a non-theraputic tiny dose of the drug. I can’t imagine what a full dose would be like!! Strike three. Adderall you were the funnest trial yet but I think that we are better off without you.

My friend had to check into REHAB for adderall. It worked the first time for me, the the second time i felt like i did a ton of METH. Good luck. Try Melatonin, st.John’s Wort, 5HTP (5hydroxy-triptophan). EVIL ADDERALL!
YO.

OH no! Round and round you go…… Have you tried Strattera? It’s in a whole different category then Ritalin and Adderall.. down side is it can take up to 6 weeks to see any results, since it’s a slow acting, long release med.

Just ritalin, tenex, and aderall. I think they are a little fearful of the longer acting one with the allergies to meds.

That’s a funny story!hopefully, you’re on the verge of a winner in the next trial! It’s a pain getting there, but the right meds can make all the difference. Good luck, my friend!

Try the Melatonin. It probably can’t hurt. Problem I can see is that older people use it to help them sleep, so I can’t imagine why it would help Ryan. Oh, maybe it would calm him. duh…
