I recieved two interesting surprises today.

Ryan has been struggling with school in general, all the time since September.  Lately, he has been changing things around. He is more focused at homework and a real joy to be around.  He struggles some but he tries.  Hard.  All.  The. Time.  It’s a change from what he was doing from September to January. The Social Studies/Science teacher told me today that Ryan’s attitude in her class has done a complete 180.  He is engaged, finishing his classwork, and actively participating.  Of course, I cried. Then I told him just how proud I am to hear he is trying.

Today Aaron got a phone call from a girl in his class. Her name is T. Whenever I see her she tells me she likes the allergen free treats I bake for the class.  She is a darling little girl.  As he chatted with T on the phone Aaron blushed, giggled, and got very animated. He insisted on calling her back later and I told him to wait till tomorrow. He is SEVEN years old.  I feel like fainting.  Girls on the phone.  Already.

All that is enough for one day.
